Many clients like to have photos taken at home before they leave for the church service. This is a great idea as we can take some photos before the service begins - when everyone is fresh and the christening gown is perfectly clean. If you'd like a nice family photo on your child's christening day it is often a good idea to get it taken at home.

Christening service taking place under painted ceiling and ornate chandelier at St. Gerasimos church in Leichhardt, NSW. This beautiful church is centrally located within a short drive of many reception venues, such as La Montage in Five Dock. We have photographed many christenings at St Gerasimos, and one of our favourite features of the church is how the sun flows in through the stain-glassed windows, placing a surreal light on the priest and baby during the middle of the chrsitening.

The lace christening gowns and bonnets of twin sisters hang at the entrance of St. Nectarios church in Burwood, NSW prior to their Greek orthodox christening service. Through the doorway the ornate chandeliers and paintings are visible and fill the photograph with warmth. 

Twin christenings are a wonderful challenge to photograph. The babies at this christening also had twin godmothers - clearly twins run in the family! 

We have shot many christenings at St. Nectarios Greek Orthodox church. It is a grand church with many detailed paintings, and a beautiful sandstone facade. The reception for this christening was held at Catalina Restaurant in Rose Bay.

The beautiful stained glass windows of St. Nectarios make the church very unique and ornate. We love photographing christenings here because of these details and because of the warm, rich lighting. The parish priest is also extremely friendly and allows us additional freedom when photographing christening services.
