Inner West christening
Isabella was christened at the beautiful Maternal Heart of Mary Church in Lewisham. She was very curious throughout the service, taking in her new surroundings and smiling up at her parents and godmother during the intimate ceremony. It was a big day though, so a quick nap was on the cards as family guests met for a delicious lunch and dessert at Bistecca in Abbotsford afterwards.
It was a pleasure to witness and photograph Christina’s recent Christening at the Greek Orthodox parish of St Nicholas in Marrickville. Chrisina’s big brother and sister played with her throughout the day, and her godparents were always close by during the church service. Although she wasn’t too sure about being immersed into the water, she had a great time afterwards at the party. Family and friends were treated to a seafood feast and some yummy treats at the C-Side restaurant in Kyeemagh.
Little Andreas was treated to a spectacular celebration in honour of his Christening. He clearly enjoyed every minute, from the splashing in the baptismal font to the care and attention from plenty of family and friends (especially those loving grandparents!). And even though some of the jokes from George Kapiniaris had most of the parents in fits of laughter, I’m pretty sure I spotted Andreas giggling away during the performance too. Andreas’ Christening took place at St. Andrews Greek Orthodox Church in Gladesville, and his reception was hosted by the friendly folks at Haldon House in Lakemba.
