Christening and Baptism Photography

We are Nick and Lindsey Stewart of Skipping Stone Photography and we are christening photographers based in Sydney, NSW. We are known for capturing the real, candid moments that occur at christenings and baptisms, as well as showcasing the beautiful churches and reception venues that Sydney has to offer. We are very familiar with Greek christenings, Armenian christenings, Serbian Orthodox christenings, Maronite christenings and Coptic Orthodox christenings, as well as baptisms from various christian faiths. We are also knowledgable about the various churches in Sydney and the surrounding area - some of our favourite churches include St. Gerasimos Greek Orthodox Church in Leichhardt, St Mary & St Merkorious Coptic Orthodox Church and Kogarah Greek Orthodox Church. They offer beautiful, ornate interiors that photograph wonderfully, and add a sense of grandeur to the service.

Your experience with us will begin with a thorough discussion of your christening photography needs. We’ll offer suggestions to help guide you through where and when to take your family photographs, and make sure all of the details at the reception are captured. We also make sure to take you aside, away from the business of the day, to take photographs of you, your partner and your baby alone, like a little family photography session. Through our experience we are able to create beautifully lit images of your child’s special day, including detailed photos of their christening gown, gifts, christening bomboniere unique elements of the church, and service. Through the years we have also met many of the priests and have built relationships with them, allowing us more photographic freedom during the christening or baptism service.

This is a big event in your child’s life (and yours) and we aim to help make it special, to preserve the memories of their christening day for many years to come.

There are so many beautiful places to choose from, but in particular we enjoy Aqua Luna Waterfront Dining, Oliveto in Rhodes, Dunbar House in Watson’s Bay, Le Montage in Lilyfield, Centennial Homestead in Centennial Park, Sergeants Mess in Mosman, Waterview in Bicentennial Park, and Doltone House in Sylvania.
